If you’re already in love with electric vehicles, you will love this new foldable trike that’s 100% pollution-free. Called HP Velotechnik Scorpion fs 26 S-Pedelec (not an easy name to remember), the tricycle rolls on two small wheels at the front and a large one at the rear. It is a recumbent bike that’s ideal for strolls in the nature, but which can also very efficiently take you from point A to point B across the city.
Powering the eco vehicle is a 500 Watt BionX hub motor, but riders can also rely solely on pedaling power. The motor is mounted on the 26-inch rear wheel, and it can push the bike to speeds of up to 28 mph. Powering the motor is a rechargeable 48-volt Li-Mn battery, and the aluminum chassis is inspired by the automotive world.
Because it is foldable, the innovative trike with 27 speed Shimano XT drivetrain can be transported in your (electric) car to anywhere you want to, without compromising too much on your luggage space.
