Infiniti May Be Working on a New 530-HP Engine for the G Line

For those who feel that the Infiniti Performance Line hasn’t been impressive enough up until now, an interesting rumor is here with good news. Apparently the automaker is currently working on the future G line that is expected to hit the market in the summer of 2014. According to an unnamed source of Motor Trend, Infiniti plans to unleash a new beast in the form of a hyper performance coupe.

Apparently Nissan’s luxury division will also introduce a brand new direct-injected engine with two turbochargers, a 3.7-liter V6 unit capable of 530 horsepower. The engine will be built in Japan, together with Nissan GT-R’s powerplant. The rumor also said that the new IPL will bear a price that’ s comparable to that of the GT-R in Japan.
