Cars such as the McLaren 675LT are already blisteringly fast when they leave the production lines, but this doesn’t mean that they can’t get any faster. In order to show us that that it means business, McLaren has decided to create the McLaren 675LT Spider, which is officially one of the fastest convertibles in the world right now.
Its power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that’s able to dish out 666 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Since we’re talking about a car that includes a plethora of carbon fiber components and weighs just 2,800 pounds, it makes sense that it would boast overwhelming performance capabilities. To be more specific, the 675LT Spider can perform a 0-60 mph sprint in 2.9 seconds, while its maximum speed is reached at 203 mph. The hard top has three individual parts, and it can be deployed in a matter of seconds at speeds of up to 20mph.
