Kidz Horizon Appeal is a Singapore-based non-profit organization led by Dr. Caroline Heah, which raises funds for kids who suffer from terminal or chronic diseases like AIDS and cancer. In order to support the organization’s efforts, Vacheron Constantin has partnered with it (again) and has created a one-off timepiece called Historiques Chronometre Royal 1907.
The watch has a classic design and a very appealing understated elegance, featuring a platinum case and Grand Feu blue enamel dial. The numerals and the brand’s logo are done in white, and so is the very small “Kids Horizon” signature placed between the 7 and 8 o’clock positions.
Inside the 38mm case there is an in-house Swiss automatic movement caliber 2460SCC with COSC-certified chronometer function and the fabled Geneva Hallmark. Both the front and the back of the watch are covered with sapphire crystals. The piece will be auctioned off on August 17, 2013 at a Kidz Horizon Charity Ball.
