Harley-Davidson Axes Six Models for 2014

Harley-Davidson is one of those names that people from all over the world instantly recognize with a smile, no matter what language they speak. The American company’s motorcycles are symbols of strength, endurance, innovation and freedom. Sadly for some fans, six of the brand’s current models will soon be discontinued, thus making room for new ones.

Even though the company has been experiencing a decrease in sales over the last years, the decision doesn’t seem to be related to this fact. Harley-Davidson is reportedly doing it to “reduce production overlap” as well as improve the number of available choices.

Among the models that will be axed next year are the FLHR Road King, the FLHRC Road King Classic (in North America), the FLTRU Road Glide Ultra, and the FLTRX Road Glide Custom. The last two will be reintroduced sometime in the future, after they receive a nice redesign.
