Books have the power to unravel mysterious and fascinating worlds, an make us see them very clearly with the eyes of our minds. While that is a thrilling experience for most readers, there is a certain artist who felt he needed to really see those unique worlds with his own eyes, and feel them with his own hands. So, after over three decades of experience with art in the form of literature, sculpture, painting, theater and more, Guy Laramee took it upon himself to bring books to life.
Books are pretty much obsolete these days, but Laramee was not intimidated by this reality when he decided to create his amazing landscapes carved in real books. The internet and your Kindle can bring any book to you, but they can never recreate the magic of the real thing, let alone the mesmerizing beauty of this spectacular works of art. So we can only applaud the talented artist’s initiative!
