Gorgeous 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante

It is so easy to fall completely in love with this amazing convertible! First of all, this is the first Aston Martin droptop with the body made entirely out of carbon fiber, which makes it not only extremely lightweight, but also the sturdiest convertible in the automaker’s history.

So here it is: the beautiful 2014 Vanquish Volante, purring with the power of 565 ponies and 457 pound-feet of torque. Sleek and glamorous, the new ride has one feature that we love the most (design-wise), and that is its full-length windshield, which has no carbon sheet separating it from the three-layer top when closed. It is a subtle thing, but we really like it.

The top can be dropped down or put up in only 14 seconds, even at 30 mph. For all the dynamics changes that come with turning a coupe into a convertible, Aston Martin introduced a series of features that ensure perfect stability and an overall excellent driving experience even at high speeds. This includes new springs and dampers, as well as a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The well balanced ride (51:49 weight distribution) has no problem accelerating when the 5.9-liter V12 engine starts to do its magic, but decelerating is not an issue either. Thanks to its carbon-ceramic brakes, all road adventures end in a safe and very effective way. First deliveries will reportedly take place early next year at a base price of $297,995.
