It’s name tells a lot about how great it is: it is known as the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Minute Repeater, Annual Calendar & Equation Of Time Watch. The watch flaunts a simple, sleek and classy design, with a rose gold case, matching 18-carat rose gold buckle, and a brown alligator strap.
On the slivered sunburst dial, applied rose gold markers, rose gold hands, a date window, and three subdials complete the flawless design of the timepiece. The large date subdial ca be seen between 1 and 2 o’clock, the month window is situated at 7 o’clock, the equation of time scale is set between 4 and 5 o’clock, and the running seconds are at 9 o’clock.
As compared to its predecessors, the new model features a shorter EOT hand, anchored further from the edge of the dial. No less than 419 parts make up the luxury watch which boasts a power reserve of 100 hours and a water resistance of up to 30 meters. Powering the piece is an in-house caliber E09-0003 movement with 21,600 vph and 48 jewels. Only 15 units will ever be produces, each one priced at $287,000.
