First Romain Jerome Pilot’s Watch – The Spacecraft

First Romain Jerome Pilot’s Watch – The Spacecraft (4)

Romain Jerome (RJ) unveils the first pilot’s watch, a limited edition creation with a unique design and self-winding movement designed exclusively for the brand. Flaunting both vintage and futuristic design elements, the timepiece is called Spacecraft and it was created by RJ CEO Manuel Emch in collaboration with Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, an independent watchmaker, and Eric Giroud, the acclaimed watch designer.

The watch is crafted from titanium and coated with PVD, and it measures 50 x 44.5 x 18.5 mm. It has a faceted surface and a unconventional shape, which gives it a very outer-space-like appearance. Powering it is a RJ2000-A caliber movement developed in Geneva, at the Agenhor manufacturing facility.

The hours are displayed in a linear manner on one side, and a red cursor passes from one number to another every 60 minutes to show the exact hour. The minutes are positioned atop the timepiece, on a black rotating disk, over which lies a sapphire crystal with a red indicator that shows the minutes. Limited to 99 units, the Spacecraft is priced at 20,000 Swiss Francs, or approximately $22,000.
