Royal Black Caviar is an exquisite set limited to only 99 examples, which he created as a tribute to The Grand Duchess WeraKonstantinowaRomanowa of Russia, his great-grandmother, as the Russia has recently celebrated the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The sets contain a superb Royal Black Caviar watch in 18k white gold, as well as a petite caviar server made of 925 sterling silver and flaunting a beautiful sturgeon-shaped handle. As a final touch of opulence, two delicate spoons with 24k gold plating were added for each set.
The watch is a remarkable work of miniature art, measuring 44 mm in diameter and boasting 53 dazzling black diamonds around the bezel. They weigh a total of 3.2 carats and they match the five more black diamonds in the crown. Excellently illustrating the ‘caviar’ part of the name, the strap is made of fine indo-pacific stingray leather that looks very much like real sturgeon eggs. Underneath the sapphire crystal the sterling silver dial flaunts beautiful black enamel finish.
Priced at €45,200 (about $58,900), each set will be presented to the buyer by Her Highness York Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe himself. The official launch of the timepiece will take place at this year’s Baselworld event.
