Created for dedicated Apple fans, these high-end cases are the result of a successful collaboration between CalypsoCrystal, the Slovenian manufacturer of mobile phone accessories, and Lara Bohinc, the famed UK designer.
Called the CalypsoCase by Lara Bohinc, the accessory is available in different designs, for iPhone 4, 4s and 5. They are all manufactured from fine Italian leather, silver and titanium, and the leather embossed designs were created by Lara herself. The hand manufacturing process took place in Slovenia, and the excellent craftsmanship ensures a “unique three dimensional experience [which] is created by the simplicity of the lines combined with the richness of the premium Italian leather”.
Bohinc wanted her designs to look and feel great, and that is exactly what she got. Matej Kurent, the founder of CalypsoCrystal, declared himself very proud with the result of the collaboration. Priced at €149 (approx. $190), the case is available in three design versions: the Rainbow, made of silver leather, the Rainbow Dream, made of red leather, and the Sunrise, manufactured from deep black leather.
