Diamond lovers will definitely want to mark April 21 on their calendars as that is the date when Sotheby’s will place a superb 100-carat diamond under the hammer. The auction will take place in New York and will focus on an exquisite white emerald-cut diamond that is internally flawless as well as void of any imperfections.
It was rated D for color and was unearthed by De Beers in South Africa sometimes in the last ten years. Before it was polished and cut, the precious stone featured a staggering weight of 200 carats. Ahead of hitting the auction block in New York, the diamond will travel to some of the world’s most famous cities such as London, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
