Christie’s Plans on Selling an Andy Warhol for $50 Million

Christies Plans on Selling an Andy Warhol for $50 Million

A famous Pop Art representative was Andy Warhol. His works seem stupid to some but priceless to others, and this is exactly why at Christie’s sale in New York this November one of his paintings will be sold for $30 to $50 million.

“Big Campbell’s Soup Can with Can Opener (Vegetable)” is the name of the painting and what makes it so expensive is the fact that most of its ‘siblings’ lay safely in museums, while only this one and two more are ‘out there’.

Today the painting is owned by a collector in Seattle, Barney Ebsworth. On November 11 we will find out who the next contemporary art lover to own the iconic “Big Campbell’s Soup Can with Can Opener (Vegetable)” will be.
