Mobiado is a company that’s often associated with high quality, reliable gadgets, especially when it comes to mobile phones. However, the Vancouver-based firm also specializes in the creation of mobile chargers, as exemplified by the m|CUBE stand. What makes this particular charging stand special, aside from its appealing cubic shape, is the fact that it holds the phone in a unique position. More specifically, the phone appears to be levitating, and even though the entire gadget rests on a very small USB connector, the connector can handle the handset’s weight without issues.
However, considering that the m|CUBE was designed for Mobiado’s own Grand Touch, Grand Touch executive and Professional 3 collections, it’s hard to tell whether the stand will support phones from other manufacturers, especially given the different sizes and weights. The cube will come in Black Satin, Silver and Black ($225), Gold Matte ($650) and Gold Guilloche ($675). It’s probably safe to say that iPhone users will be interested in this device as well, but we’ll just have to wait and see if Mobiado will consider adapting the m|Cube for Apple devices.
