As you may have already noticed, these cards are not ordinary at all. Designgalleriet from Stockholm has decided to do something really special this Christmas. For their last exhibition in 2010 they contacted some of the most famous designers in the world to invite them to take part in a found raising event.
The participants were asked to design ingenious Christmas or season cards made of any materials their imagination would dictate. Created from leather, ceramics or the classic paper, every single card is special in its own way. They sell for 1,000 Swedish kronor (about $144) a piece and all proceeds will go to charity: the International Red Cross and their projects in Pakistan.
Named the Christmas Card Exhibition, the event will continue until 22 December, 2010, and it will host works signed by famous names like From Us With Love, Okay Studio, Harry Allen, Greece Is For Lovers, Alexander Lervik, Autoban, Fredrik Mattson, Andreas Engesvik and many more.
