BMW has decided to create something really special for the U.S. team that’s going to participate in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Summer Games. BMW’s creative design firm, Designworks USA, has worked closely with the U.S. team in order to create a very impressive racing wheelchair. This new version is considerably better when compared to its predecessor, as it features better aerodynamics thanks to a carbon fiber body, as well as improved comfort.
The comfort is ensured by a versatile seat that can be custom-molded for each individual athlete after he receives a full body scan. This is definitely a step in the right direction, as chairs that were used until now for such events were basically nothing more than modified medical wheelchairs.
