Breitling for Bentley Barnato 42 Midnight Carbon Chronograph

Breitling has launched a special collection of luxury watches dedicated to the rich racing history of Bentley. Called the Breitling for Bentley collection, it includes some really outstanding timepieces, such as the Breitling for Bentley Barnato 42 Midnight Carbon Chronograph.

The watch was inspired by Woolf Barnato, the famous 1920s British racer and one of the rich Bentley Boys of the era. He became a legend in the world of racing, winning three consecutive 24 Hours Le Mans contests (’28-’30), but this was not the only great thing in his career. He was also an officer in the Royal Field Artillery of the UK, a very successful businessman, and even a boxer. It’s no wonder some people called him “The Most Interesting Man in the World”.

Evoking his remarkable life and career, the chronograph in the pictures below is a true masterpiece. It is covered in carbon steel, with chromed steel rimmed counters, and racing-inspired red accents. Reminding of Bentley’s front grilles, the bezel features an intricate and special pattern. This model will be produced in a limited number: only 1,000 examples.
