Brand New ATS 2500 GT for Fans of Italian Supercars

The world is kind of used to seeing awesome supercars bearing Italian brands. Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS) is one such brand, and it operated between 1963 and 1965. In 2012, however, a new ATS goodie is ready to impress the world once again. It is called the ATS 2500 GT, and it flaunts some really great features.

First of all, the car is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission and limited slip differential. The vehicle weighs 980 kilos (2,160 pounds) and flaunts a power-to-weight ratio of 510 HP per ton. The compact car (it measures only 4.25 meters or almost 14 feet in length) needs only 3.3 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph, and has a top speed of 186 mph.

Other features include carbon fiber body panels, tubular chassis frame with integrated roll cage, independent suspension for each wheel, 380 mm discs at the front, and 355 mm brake discs at the rear. Only 12 units will ever be produced, with the price remaining a mystery at the moment.
