Mobility scooters are not usually associated with power and ruggedness, and that’s because they were designed to fulfill one simple purpose: to help those who have trouble moving around on their own. However, there is a special mobility scooter out there that can actually provide a bit of thrill as well, and that scooter is named Boomer Beast.
Put together by a team of engineers in Canada, the Boomer Beast is equipped with a 2,580-Wh Panasonic lithium battery that can be charged up using a small 12-watt solar panel. This ensures a range of up to 56 miles on a single charge, with speeds ranging from about 9mph on the road and 25mph on the trail. The scooter is also accompanied by a special Android app that can be used to modify its torque and acceleration.
Not bad at all for just $3,000, right?
