Best Zen Gifts For Friends and Family

With Christmas right around the corner, I started thinking about what I might want to get my friends and family. What might benefit them? Obviously it’s nice to get personalized gifts for loved ones that make them feel special, but if you can’t think of anything or are simply looking to get them a nice gift that will help to lift their spirits and improve their lives in some way, there are a couple different avenues that might be worth your time and investigation. One of these is Zen gifts. Zen gifts are exactly what their title explains. They’re gifts meant to bring Zen and peace into the lives of whomever you gift them to. They promote rest and relaxation which seem to be lacking in today’s society with so much going on and fuel constantly being added to the fire. So, if you’re looking to bring a little bit of peace into someone’s life this Christmas season, here are a couple different options of Zen gifts worth looking into.

1.      Meditation stones.

Meditation gifts go hand in hand with Zen gifts. These stones are naturally carved and smoothed to provide a soft, smooth, relaxing finish for the user. They’re small enough to fit in your pocket and because of that can be used as a portable device to help relieve stress. The user simply rubs the small smooth indent on the inside of the rock and feels the effect that nature has in smoothing out imperfections. They make great gifts for those who are always on the go or are seeking to be a little bit more connected with nature and their surroundings.

2.      Eucalyptus oil!

These go great with diffusers. Because eucalyptus oil is used in a large quantity of healing agents and products, the scent is easily recognized. Eucalyptus oil can be applied directly onto the skin and used to relax stressed muscles, joints, or patches of skin, or it can be used in a diffuser and change the aroma of a room or area. Personally, I love using it in diffusers. They’re easy to use and add the same effect that a fountain would in that they increase the overall sense of peace wherever they’re working. There are also other oils that go wonderfully in diffusers. Some of which include peppermint, lemon, lavender, and cinnamon. There are also seasonal scents that you can buy from various suppliers that can help tie together the festive spirit that you’re trying to create in your home.

3.      Salt lamps.

Not only are they beautiful and add to the decorations in a home, but they also have been proven to have healing characteristics. I’ll be honest with you as well, I don’t necessarily know why they work, but they do. Salt lamps come in a variety of different shapes, sizes, colors, and salts that have different effects on the mood of rooms, but they all bring a sense of composure and relaxation into the air when they’re around. If you haven’t ever tried one, it’s worth giving it a shot.
