This year’s Best in the Desert competition will include a very special version of Ford’s F-150 Raptor Supercrew truck, and whoever will end up driving it will probably stand a very good chance at claiming the first prize. This incredible ride features almost the same specifications as its stock counterpart, which makes sense since the Supercrew is an absolute beast both on regular roads and on the trail.
Its power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers more than 450 lb-ft of torque and probably more than 400 horsepower. All that power is kept in check by a 10-speed transmission, which is as impressive as it sounds. Even though details are scarce at the moment, we do know that this car will come with a roll cage, an LED light bar, window nets, racing seats and racing harnesses. And since it was designed to take part in a desert competition, it will also feature a data logging system as well as a state-of-the-art navigation system.
