If you’ve seen the elegant BeoPlay A9 music system from Bang & Olufsen, you probably already love it. But there is something that can make it even more desirable, and it’s called Nordic Sky. No, it’s not the actual Scandinavian sky, but a special edition kit that canmake your regular A9 bring the beauty of the northern summer sky into your home – every day.
The short yet wonderful Scandinavian summer was the main source of inspiration for this project, and more specifically three exact moments of the day: Dusk, Dawn and Twilight. These are also the names of the special edition’s three different versions. The package doesn’t include the actual A9 sound system, only the legs and covers that evoke the aforementioned moments of day.
Dusk features walnut tree legs and pink feet, with a brownish-pink cover that resembles the fascinating color of the sky right at the time when the sun is hidden under the horizon.Dawn mimics the turquoise-brown color of the sky that gradually turns to green with the arrival of the first rays of light. This version features beech tree legs and grey feet. Finally, Twilight captures that beautiful moment when daylight becomes darkness and the sky’s vivid blue gets a dark, deep hue. Oak tree legs and blue feet were chosen for this version.
You can get all three models and switch them as the mood strikes, or just pick your favorite for DKK 1,499 (approx. $270). The price is in Danish Krone, because Bang & Olufsen is a (fabled) Danish company, hence the fascination with the northern sky.
