Starting today, American dealerships are offering two new and amazing 2014 Moto Guzzi California 1400 motorcycles, called Touring and Custom. The initiative shows just how serious Piaggio Group is about reinvigorating the Italian brand. The global advertising campaign for the new California 1400 features actor Ewan McGregor under the slogan “My Bike, My Pride”.
Boasting the latest Piaggio electronics technologies, the two new bikes are reportedly the most technologically-advanced cruisers out there, with features that are normally seen on adventure-tourers and sportbikes. It is placed in an elastic-kinetic support system and comes with excellent vibrations reducing rubber dampeners and rockers. The engine is capable of 95.2 HP and 88.5 lb-ft at 6,500 rpm and 2,750 rpm, respectively.
The Touring version boasts a two-tone leather saddle for the 29.1-inch high seat, engine guards, chrome fog lights, 35-liter panniers, and a windshield. It is priced at $17,990, and is available in Eldorado White or Ambassador Black. Those who want awesomeness at a lower price can go for the Custom version, in either Mercury Gray or Basalt Black, priced at $14,990.
