Aston Martin CC100 to Be Launched at Nurburgring 24 Hour

This year’s Nurburgring 24 Hour race will witness the debut of a new Aston Martin supercar, created to mark the company’s 100th anniversary. Based on the V12 Vantage and inspired by the legendary DBR1 which won the 1959 Nürburgring 1000km 54 years ago, this new ride will be absolutely spectacular.

The DBR1 was stunning as well, featuring no roof and doors and boasting excellent aerodynamics for that time. The anniversary car will be dubbed Aston Martin CC100 and it will be limited to only 2 examples – one to celebrate the company’s centenary, and the other to evoke the spectacular victory of Sterling Moss, who skillfully piloted the DBR1 to the finish line.

No technical details are yet available, but we expect the CC100 to be powered by an upgraded version of the V12 Vantage 5.9-liter V12 engine. What we do know already is that the car will be prohibitively expensive: maybe even around $2 million.
