Artistic Charlotte Olympia DollyPumps by Boyarde Messenger

You may find these absolutely enchanting or totally unimpressive, but one thing you can’t deny is that hand-painted footwear is something very special. Designer Charlotte Olympia found a unique way of merging fashion with art and functionality. She created a limited edition of her glam Dolly platform pumps, consisting of 100 pairs of hand-painted heels, each one inspired by a famous painting from the 19th and 20th century.

Some of the artists who inspired her creation were Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock, Roy Lichtenstein, and Howard Hodgkin. The artist who actually created the designs was chosen by Olympia herself, and his name wasBoyarde Messenger. He is an acclaimed body painter and photographer, and his talent is clearly visible in these unique items of wearable art.

Unveiled at Art Basel Miami, the collection was developed specifically for Neiman Marcus, the fabled luxury department store that fashion addicts love. Out of the many colorful models, you are definitely bound to find al least one to love.
