Artist Jack Armstrong Unveils the CosmicStar Cruiser ARTBike

The world’s most expensive ARTBike used to be Damien Hirst’s creation, which was made for charity and priced at $500,000. Recently, however, the title was transferred to another exquisite work of functional art, called the CosmicStar Cruiser ARTBike, which is priced at a whopping $1 million.

The artists behind this project are Jack Armstrong and Kelsey Fisher, who worked for six months on this bike. We are talking about a SOLE beach cruiser made in Los Angeles, which Armstrong won fair and square at an arm wrestling match with Fisher. He then began working his magic on the bike with help from his fellow artist, giving his creation a “cosmic extensionalism” charm.

The one-off piece will be unveiled on December 8 in Canada at the Palm Springs Convention Center, Palm Springs. At the event Armstrong will also unveil his “Future Magic” painting as a backdrop for the ARTBike. The painting too flaunts a mind-boggling price: $6 million.
