IWC Schaffhausen has become the Official Engineering Partner of the MERCEDES MG PETRONAS Formula One Team, and for this special change of status it released the new IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer, available in 4 different versions. It features a 45mm steel case metal bracelet or rubber and textile strap, and a silver or slate dial.
Powering the watch is a new automatic mechanical IWC caliber 89361 which is a flyback chronograph. Chronograph hours and minutes are measured via a single totalizer. For extremely easy readability, the recorded hours and minutes are displayed just like an analogue watch. The seconds, however, can be read following the red-tip central chronograph hand.
