We were all a little disappointed to learn that the gorgeous 2013 Audi Quattro Coupe concept was not scheduled for mass production. It simply stole our hearts at the 2010 Paris Motor Show with its masculine design and oozing personality.
Fortunately, Audi decided to create a limited production version of the vehicle and they plan on rolling the special edition coupes out of the factory sometime in 2013. Based on the Audi S5, the new model will feature aluminum body panels and carbon fiber trunk lid and hood. It hasn’t been revealed yet if the production version will feature the same powerplant as the concept version, but if it will, here is what to expect: a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbocharged engine, coupled with a classic 6-speed gearbox and capable of putting out 402 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. The maximum speed should be limited to 155 mph and the 60 mph threshold will be reached in 3.9 seconds.
