Scotland’s favorite whisky, The Famous Grouse, has recently celebrated its 107th anniversary with great pomp. In order to mark the important event, the renowned brand created the world’s largest bottle of whisky, measuring 5 feet 5 inches in height, and holding a staggering 228 liters (60.2 gallons) of fine whisky.
The huge bottle was manufactured by Czech glass manufacturers BOMMA, who were the only specialists in the glass industry who could create the gigantic bottle. The piece can almost be considered a glass sculpture, and its trip from Svelta, near Prague, to Scotland covered a massive 1,200 miles.
Several VIP guests and fans had the honor of helping fill the bottle, a process that lasted for no less than three hours! The curious among you can see the monument with their own eyes by visiting The Famous Grouse Experience.
