The Most Expensive Lego Brick Is Made of 14K Gold

Between 1979 and 1981 the world-famous LEGO company used to award its most faithful employees and some select partners with very special Lego bricks, made entirely of real gold. This custom only lasted for a few years, and the golden bricks were offered only once or twice a year, but now the company has brought a little piece of the past into the present by creating a new on-off golden brick.

This one is not meant to be offered to a certain person, but purchased by someone who really loves Legos and can afford to splash out $14,449.99 on a tiny toy. Unsurprisingly, this is the most expensive Lego set in the world, composed of only one 14-carat golden brick with a standard 2 x 4 size. The luxe piece is sold in an original plastic box, bearing the iconic LEGO logo. Will you be the rich collector to purchase it?
