“Crowd” is the name of an outstanding new LifeBook designed by Philipp Schaake for the Fujitsu Design Award 2011. The device took second place in the category, and that with over 3,000 contestants to compete against! This sleek laptop is meant to celebrate a new way of human-PC interaction: the user can use the device even without opening it.
Crowd can be used as a laptop, but when it comes to chatting, mailing or surfing the web, things can get really fun and engaging. By putting a token on the touchpad, an interactive playground is activated, showing avatars of different sizes, depending on how often you use them. For instance, when you are on “chat” mode, Crowd will show the people that you talk to the most in bigger avatars. Also, when on “Internet” mode, you will have the most frequently accessed websites on bigger avatars. Exciting, isn’t it?
