Even though it was once one of the most popular cars in the world with wealthy hip-hop stars and other celebrities, the Escalade has been losing ground over the last few years to its German competitors from Audi and BMW. This meant that Cadillac had to implement some changes in order to win back the hearts of its fans, and so the 2015 Cadillac Escalade came into existence.
Now don’t get us wrong! This car has always been powerful and luxurious to begin with, but its manufacturers have brought things to a whole new level by implementing a series of modern and tasteful additions to this old-school giant. Visually speaking the 2015 Escalade looks like a proper, modern SUV, boasting LED headlights and subtle design modifications, even though it retained its menacing box shape that made it famous in the first place.
Inside, things look as lavish as ever, thanks to high-end materials such as leather and suede, while a Bose Active Noise Cancellation system provides much needed quiet during those long, tedious rides. As far as power is concerned, the new Escalade will feature a single powertrain based on a roaring 6.2 liter V8 that is able to dish out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This brings the range of the car down to just 14 MPG, but Cadillac has never really been interested in fuel consumption, so no surprises there.
