Inspired by the ever fascinating Orient and its passion for luxury and opulence, Tom Ford has created a new alluring fragrance for women. It is called Sahara Noir, and it will be first launched in selected stores in the Middle East in March, and then in Europe in May.
Ladies should expect a fascinating combination of amber, patchouli, cedar, leather and oakmoss as base notes; orange blossom, grapefruit blossom, black pepper and tobacco as middle notes; and bergamot, violet, mandarin orange, basil and ginger as top notes. Together, these lovely aromas represent Tom Ford’s interpretation of the rich oriental heritage, especially when it comes to high-end fragrances.
The iconic fashion designer described the oriental culture by saying that it “has an extraordinary appreciation for the luxurious, emotional and memorable qualities of fragrance; perfume is worn there in a way that feels very familiar to me”.
