An important piece of American firearm history will soon be put up for auction at James D. Julia Auctioneers’ Important Firearms sale in Fairfield, Maine. The event will take place on March 14. The unfired gun has spent 26 years in the vault of a private collector and it is now expected to raise between $50,000 and $70,000.
What makes this Browning 12-gauge automatic shotgun particularly important is the fact that it was once owned by American President Richard Nixon. It is also very valuable because it is inlaid with gold, and it features a gold presentation plaque that bears the signature of James M. Brown and its production number – 2,000,000.
