The world-famous Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is probably the most glam annual automotive event in the world, and a perfect place for a stunning new car to make its first appearance. Since the sponsor of the event is BMW, it is only natural that the German automaker decided to launch a jaw-dropper of its own this year too.
For this one-off concept, BMW decided to reach beyond its own design department and invite Italian coachbuilder Zagato to create an irresistible car that they would call the BMW Zagato Coupe. Even though just a concept, the car is fully road registered in its country of birth. Apparently it has also been speed tested by BMW in its special facility, but no numbers have been released so far.
BMW also decided to keep silent about the vehicle’s powerplant, but if we were to judge by the astonishing looks of the BMW Zagato Coupe, we’d have to conclude that this red beauty is a power and speed monster.
