One-Off Lotus Evora in Honor of Freddie Mercury

Lotus created a one-off special Evora as a tribute to late Queen singer, Freddie Mercury. The famous artist was born on September 5, 1946 and yesterday marked what would have been his 65th birthday.

Featuring both exterior and interior modifications, the Freddie Mercury edition Evora has a white body with red and golden stripes, the same colors that Mercury wore in 1986 for his “Magic Tour”. On the front fender of the vehicle there is an image of the Montreux Freddie Memorial statue, accompanied by the words: “Lover of live. Singer of songs”.

Inside, the one-off Evora flaunts a black and yellow interior, also reflective of the singer’s 1986 stage costume. The back of the seats show the union flag and the image of a crown, a royal symbol that Mercury so often used to show off. The right hand side of the dashboard features his signature in yellow.

This special edition Lotus Evora was created for a charity auction that took place yesterday, on Mercury’s birthday anniversary. Proceeds from the sale went to the Mercury Phoenix Foundation, a foundation that very actively fights against AIDS.One-Off Lotus Evora in Honor of Freddie Mercury (1)
