Ocean Cruises to Christen Marina Cruise Ship

Great news for cruise lovers. Oceania Cruises has announced that their newest ship will be soon christened. On February 5, 2011 a 15-liter Nebuchadnezzar of custom made champagne will be smacked over the hull of the vessel. The event will take place in Miami and the boat will officially receive its name: Marina. Who will do the honors of liberating the champagne from the glass? Mary Hart, the host of Entertainment Tonight.

Three days after the christening, the Marina will start her first (out of two) Panama Canal transits to visit one of the two ports which are new for Oceania: San Francisco and San Diego. After the two 18-day trips, Marina will set for another 12-day cruise, a Caribbean one this time, on March 16.

The 66,000 tons ship has a full-service Canyon Ranch SpaClub, ten dining venues (six of which open-seating restaurants), a Bon Appetit Culinary Center, and many more amenities to make the trip a memorable experience for a maximum of 1250 guests.Ocean Cruises to Christen Marina Cruise Ship
