As part of Maserati’s plan to increase production to 50,000 units by 2015 (at a global level), the automaker has announced an impressive number of fresh releases for the following years. You’ve probably already seen the 2014 Ghibli and the redesigned Quattroporte, but the list continues with a new generation Gran Turismo, a new coupe that might be called Gran Sport, and an awesome SUV called Levante.
Until recently, all these were just some names with no further details on their release schedule. But thanks to Auto Express, we can now get excited at the thought that the Gran Turismo will make its dealership debut in 2015, followed by a smaller and sportier coupe in 2016. The latter will reportedly boast a mid-engine configuration. And no, it won’t be based on the Alfa Romeo 4C.
