New CLA45 AMG to Be Unveiled at New York Auto Show

Even though Mercedes-Benz was proud to introduce its new CLA45 AMG at a pre-Geneva private event, the automaker specifically asked everybody present to keep their cameras turned off. The official launch will only happen at the New York International Auto Show towards the end of the month, but until then we have a few teaser images to check out, as they were released with the launch of the new Sony Drive Club game.

Under the car’s hood lies the same 2.0-literturbocharged 4-cylinder engine that we find in the A45 AMG, and it is capable of 360 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque. This makes the sedan quite special, as it boasts the highest power-per-liter in its category. The wheels are set in motion via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which helps the car reach 155 mph. Its 3-stage stability control system ensures excellent maneuverability at high speeds.

The exterior doesn’t have a totally new story to tell, as its makers decided that the excellent drag coefficient of the previous CLA was not something that needed improvement. More on this exciting new car in a few weeks.
