Ulysse Nardin is always there for you when you need a remarkable timepiece. This time they have a new astonishing watch to offer, the Alexander the Great Minute Repeater Westminster Carillon Tourbillion Jaquemarts. Also unveiled at Baselworld 2011, like many other stunning pieces (take for instance the breathtaking diamond-studded Big Bang from Hublot, the ground-breaking Mikroimer Flying 1000 Chronograph from Tag Heuer, or the entertaining Christophe Claret 21 Blackjack timepiece), this watch was inspired by the famous Alexander the Great.
The fighting jaquemarts are synchronized with the sound of gongs and they move to the minutes, quarters and hours. The case is made in 18-karat white or rose gold, and the shimmering dial is made of polycrystalline diamond. Water resistant to 30 meters, the timepiece has 36 jewels in its movement. Only 100 examples will be made.
