Even though most of them never actually make it into production, concept cars provide much needed inspiration for the world’s top automobile manufacturers. The Lamborghini EDROID was sketched out by an independent designer named Marco Schembri, and it represents a luxurious, 4-seat hybrid that flaunts comfort, high performance and eco-friendliness.
The vehicle was designed skillfully and with great attention to detail, with key elements such as ergonomic design, user interface, aerodynamics, exterior design and hybrid powertrain being researched extensively. The materials used for various body parts are somewhat unusual, especially since polyethylene (the most common plastic) is taken into consideration.
The car’s electric systems could be powered by a series of triple junction photovoltaic cells that would dramatically improve efficiency. The Lamborghini EDROID concept doesn’t look particularly futuristic, but it does have that menacing Lamborghini grin that we love to see.
