Only a few exclusive retailers will have the honor of selling these limited edition shoes by Lacoste, designed in collaboration with Zaha Hadid, the famous female Iraqi architect. Posh customers will find them in places like Dover Street Market in London, Colette in Paris, or 10 Corso Cosmo in Milan.
First presented in 2008 at the Frieze Art Fair in London, the project is now ready for production. The fluid grids, as Hadid herself calls them, give the shoe the unique capability of adapting to the shape of the foot around which they are wrapped.
There are two versions of the product, one for women with the band wraps going up to the knee, and one for men, with ankle-high bands. They all feature a stylized Lacoste logo and the Zaha Hadid name on the heel.
