Johnnie Walker to Celebrate the Queen’s Coronation Jubilee

Johnnie Walker to Celebrate the Queen’s Coronation Jubilee

Grand events must be celebrated in grand style. To honor Queen Elizabeth’s coronation jubilee, Johnnie Walker has created  a limited edition scotch whisky, with the intention of giving the first bottle to the Queen herself. Only 60 bottles will be made and they will only be purchasable at a private sale, to which people can only participate by invitation. Talk about exclusiveness!

The whisky was partially aged in a cask made of Sandringham oak trees and it’s actually a blend of whiskies distilled in 1952. It will only be put into the lead crystal decanters on February 6, 2012. The bottles’ collars are adorned with half-carat diamonds and will bear an individual number seal. These royal edition bottles will cost £100,000 ($164,300) each and sale profits will go straight to the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust.
