This 48 mm watch is the result of another (the third) successful collaboration between Hublot and Manchester United, the famous UK football team. Based on the King Power collection, the timepiece will be available in two limited edition cases: 250 piece in 18k King gold (whatever that means) and 500 pieces in black matte ceramic. For a plus of style and protection, the cases come with security bars over the chronograph pushers.
Inside the case there is a HUB4245 skeletonized automatic movement, with the chronograph measuring 45 minutes – a soccer game half. The King Power Red Devil watches feature Manchester United’s mascot on the dial and each one will be specially signed by Sir Alex Ferguson, the team’s manager.
And now for the most unusual feature of the watch: the green hour markers are actually made of grass coming from the famous Old Trafford stadium. Hublot found a special method of freeze dry the green grass and then lacquer it to obtain the perfect texture, suitable for the timepiece.
