If you were ever curious about what it feels like to be inside an actual tank, well you’ll be glad to know that you now have the chance to satisfy that curiosity in full. And we’re not talking about joining the army, don’t worry! We’re talking about this fully functional M37 Howitzer tank that will be auctioned off during the Auctions America as part of the “Littlefield Collection” in July.
Fully armed, the tank boasts a 105mm Howitzer and a .50cal M2HB machine gun that were used in training purposes during the 50s. The tank was restored thoroughly during the 90s and is now in great condition. Its powertrain is based on two Cadillac Series 44T4 16 cylinder engines that flaunt a combined output of 220hp. With a weight of 23 tons, this thing is not exactly the fastest vehicle on the road, but it can still reach a respectable top speed of 35 mph.
The tank can carry 7 people and is worth somewhere around $200,000 and $250,000.
