Ford has been exploring different transportation alternatives and now we can admire the results at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. The Ford E-Bike Concept is a lightweight electric bike with a carbon fiber and aluminum frame and powered by a 350W electric motor. The motor is located in the front wheel hub and the 340Wh lithium-ion battery pack is incorporated into the frame.
The automaker also points out that the system is managed by Formula One-derived state-of-the-art electronic sensors. The E-Bike would make an excellent short distance commuting vehicle, with an alluring cross-gender design and boasting cutting-edge technologies. Too bad it will never make it on the production lines.
