Still in its prototype stage, the superb Fisker Atlantic was recently unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show. It is a mid-size sports sedan that merges style, comfort and eco consciousness. Fisker sais that it is aimed at people who are looking for “an impactful high-end vehicle while making a positive statement about responsibilities”.
This will be the automaker’s first model to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine from BMW, with standard rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive configuration. This is a plug-in hybrid that allows its driver to manually switch between gasoline and electric driving modes. Automatic switch is also possible.
There aren’t too many details available about his car just yet, but when the production car will be launched, more information will also emerge. What we do know is that this will be Fisker’s first mainstream mass produced car, with prices that will start from under $50,000.
