During the SEMA Show that took place in Las Vegas last year, fans of Mad Max-inspired vehicles were able to feast their eyes on an awesome contraption signed by Kenny Hauk from Hauk Designs. Hauk Designs usually specializes in Jeep outfitting in order to improve their off-road capabilities, but the Rock Rat is definitely taking things to a whole new level.
This beast is based on a Willy’s CJ2A body from 1947, and it is powered by a tuned up 12V engine sourced from a school bus. This engine is able to deliver over 1,200 lb.ft of torque and 700 horsepower, which is definitely enough to get those 44” Pit Bull Tires spinning fast. Other highlights include B.A.D Beadlock wheels, a windshield made out of repurposed safety glass, HID Projector headlights with etched skull logos and a Kicker Audio system.
