Chopard has unveiled their latest automotive-inspired creation, the “Engine One”. It’s a one-off piece for the Only Watch charity auction. With an ultra-light titanium oval-shaped case, the watch is designed to resemble a car’s engine block. It is powered by a hand-wound tourbillon movement, L.U.C. Calibre 1TRM. The movement is mounted on shock-absorbing silent blocks, just like a car engine. In fact, every detail of this timepiece is meant to evoke a luxury car. With 28,000 vibrations per hour and a 60-hours power reserve, the one-off Chopard timepiece comes with a black alligator strap that is hand sewn for a plus of exclusivity.
