Inspired by a 1920s timepiece, the new Longines Avigation Oversize Crown is a beautiful stainless steel watch dedicated to pilots. The classy black dial flaunts gold plated luminous hands and white numerals, which makes it easily readable even in poor lighting conditions.
The elegant bezel with fluted decoration features a single index and can be turned in both directions, helping pilots to take their reference points. While manipulating the bezel with a glove, the wearer does not have to worry about unintentionally touching the crown and winding system, as it is strategically places away from the 41mm case.
Inside the watch there is a mechanical, self-winding movement which in basic version moves the hour minutes and seconds hands. There are also a second and a third version of the watch, flaunting a second time-zone and a single push-piece chronograph function, respectively.
